STEELCASE Replacement File Hang Bars, Lateral Cabinets OLD STYLE

These rails will fit Steelcase lateral file cabinets manufactured BEFORE May 5, 1997. They are made for filing side to side in freestanding Steelcase lateral file units or Steelcase file cabinets. They will replace rails for Steelcase 900 series, 800 series, Firstfile 100 series, 200 series, and Answer series. If you need a file bar and your Steelcase cabinet meets the criteria below, then this will serve as the correct replacement.

FILE BAR SIZES ARE BASED ON THE OUTSIDE WIDTH OF THE ENTIRE CABINET. The actual rail will be shorter to fit your drawer.

How to tell if you need Old style or New style Steelcase lateral rails:

Open the file drawer. If the inside drawer is black, the cabinet was manufactured after 5/5/1997. You need our New Style bars for Steelcase
If the inside of the drawer is the same color as the outer cabinet body, the cabinet was manufactured before 5/5/1997. Our Old Style Steelcase bars are the correct bars.
If the left and right drawer wall has one slit for the lateral bars to hook on to or has a horizontal "L", then our Old Style Steelcase bars are the correct bars.

Because not all file folder rails will not work with all cabinets, you will need to identify your exact model of file cabinet and the date of manufacture. Please follow these steps to identify your specific file cabinet.

· Open the top drawer of the file cabinet.
· Locate the manufacturing sticker underneath the cabinet lid.
· Copy the file cabinet Model Number and Date of Manufacture from this sticker.
· Match both the Date of Manufacture and the Model Number.
These file folder arms will fit a select group of 30" wide Steelcase file cabinets. Please review the following first few characters of your model number to confirm your specific file cabinet series. You will still need to confirm your date of manufacture.
